The Easiest Juicers to Clean

Cleanup is the most common reason a juicer stops being used. Here is what actually reduces it, and what is just the word easy on a box.

We earn a commission if you buy through links on this page, at no extra cost to you. It does not change what we recommend or the order we rank things in. Full disclosure.

Ask people why they stopped using their juicer and the answer is almost never the juice. It is the five minutes afterwards, every single time, usually while already late. So cleanup is weighted as heavily as yield in everything we score -- and this page ranks on it alone.

What actually reduces cleanup, in order

  1. 1.No mesh strainer at all. The fine screen is the slow part: pulp dries into the mesh and needs a brush. Designs that eliminate it -- Hurom's Easy Clean drum, Cuisinart's mesh-free filter -- remove the problem rather than easing it.
  2. 2.Dishwasher-safe removable parts. Stated by Ninja for the JC151 and by Hamilton Beach for the Big Mouth. This does not make washing faster, it makes it not yours.
  3. 3.Fewer parts. Count them on the product page before buying. A vertical cold press machine typically has three or four; a horizontal masticating machine has more; a twin gear machine has the most of anything sold for a kitchen.
  4. 4.A wide chute. Counter-intuitive, but less chopping means fewer boards and knives in the sink, which is part of the real cleanup load even though no review counts it.
  5. 5.A rinse-while-you-go design. Any machine is dramatically easier if you rinse immediately. This is technique rather than a feature, and it is the single highest-leverage habit -- see how to clean a juicer.

Scroll the table sideways on a narrow screen. Every figure above is labeled with where it came from; “Not available” means we could not find a published source, not that the machine performs badly. How we pick.

What mesh-free designs cost you

It would be dishonest to present strainer-free cleaning as free. A fine mesh screen is what separates very fine pulp from juice. Remove it, widen the gap, and you generally get slightly more fine sediment in the glass and slightly wetter pulp in the bin.

Whether that is a loss depends entirely on you. If you like a little body in your juice, it is not a loss at all. If you want glass-clear juice for a recipe, a mesh screen or a pulp filter is doing something you want. Neither Hurom nor Cuisinart publishes a figure for that trade, so we describe the mechanism rather than quantifying it. Juicer pulp explained goes into what pulp actually means in practice.

Four parts rinsed immediately beats three parts left to dry. Technique outperforms specification here.

The picks in full

1. Easiest to clean overall

Hurom H400 Easy Clean

Hurom H400 · $400+ · Our score 8.0/10

Hurom removed the part everybody hates: there is no mesh strainer in the Easy Clean design, which is why Hurom markets it as Scrub-Free Cleaning. That is a structural answer rather than a coating or a brush, and it is why this machine tops the page despite the price. Hurom states 90 RPM, 150 W, and a 15-year warranty on motor and parts. The cost is a 45 mm chute, so prep chopping is unavoidable, and the yield and pulp claims are Hurom's own with no independent verification we could find.

Speed
Hurom states 90 RPM, 150 WManufacturer claim: Hurom · checked 2026-10-02

What works

  • No mesh strainer to scrub - the design removes the part people complain about most
  • 15 years on motor AND parts, which is rare
  • Lighter than most verticals at 14.8 lb, so storing it away is realistic

What does not

  • 1.8 in chute means real prep chopping
  • The yield and pulp claims are Hurom's own and unverified by any test we could find
  • 90 RPM is the fast end of slow juicing

Skip this if: You juice a lot of wheatgrass or very fibrous greens - the wide-gap Easy Clean design trades some fine-strainer extraction for speed at the sink.

2. Easiest to clean under $200

Cuisinart Easy Clean Slow Juicer

Cuisinart CSJ-300 · $100–200 · Our score 7.7/10

The same idea at a third of the price: Cuisinart states a mesh-free easy-clean filter on the CSJ-300. Less refined than Hurom's drum, and Cuisinart publishes no RPM at all, which is a genuine information gap. But as the cheapest machine that attacks cleanup structurally rather than cosmetically, it is the pick for most people reading this page.

What works

  • No mesh screen, so the part most people hate washing is simply absent
  • 3-year warranty, triple what Ninja and Nutribullet quote
  • 1.5 L capacity is generous for the price

What does not

  • Cuisinart publishes no RPM, so you cannot compare its speed to anything
  • No yield figure of any kind
  • Mesh-free filters generally trade some fine extraction for easier washing

Skip this if: You want a published speed figure before you buy. Cuisinart does not state an RPM for this model anywhere we could find.

3. Best dishwasher-safe cold press

Ninja NeverClog JC151

Ninja JC151 · $100–200 · Our score 7.9/10

A different and equally valid strategy: do not make the washing easier, make it somebody else's job. Ninja states that every removable part is dishwasher safe, which for a cold press machine at this price is unusual. Two pulp filters mean you also control how much pulp is in the glass. Ninja publishes 150 W and no RPM, and the US warranty is one year.

What works

  • Genuine pulp choice: two filters, not a marketing claim
  • Dishwasher-safe removable parts
  • Widely stocked at the big retailers, so it is easy to find and easy to return

What does not

  • 1-year US warranty
  • Ninja publishes no RPM, so it cannot be compared on speed
  • 24-30 oz jug means emptying on bigger batches

Skip this if: You want a long warranty. Ninja covers this for one year in the US, against 15 on the premium verticals.

4. Easiest to clean under $100

Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Juice Extractor

Hamilton Beach 67601A · Under $100 · Our score 6.7/10

Hamilton Beach states that the food pusher, cover, strainer, pulp bin and strainer bowl are all removable and dishwasher safe -- that is every part that touches juice. At under $100 with a 3-year warranty, it is the cheapest low-effort cleanup on the site. It is centrifugal, so greens are out, and the mesh basket still needs a rinse before it dries.

What works

  • 3-year warranty, which is unusual under $100
  • Every part that touches juice is dishwasher safe, per Hamilton Beach
  • 3 in chute at a budget price

What does not

  • Centrifugal, so it is poor at celery and greens
  • No RPM published
  • Loud, as all high-speed spinning juicers are

Skip this if: Celery juice is the plan. This is the wrong mechanism for it at any price.

The free upgrade

Before spending anything on an easier machine, change the order of operations. Rinse the parts under the tap the moment you have poured the juice, before you drink it. Wet pulp slides off; dried pulp has to be brushed out of mesh. That one change does more for cleanup time than any feature on this page, and it costs nothing.

The other free improvement is a bag in the pulp bin. Lining it means the bin never needs washing, just emptying. How to clean a juicer covers both, along with what to do about staining from carrots and beets.

Questions people ask

What is the easiest juicer to clean?
By design, the machines with no mesh strainer: Hurom's H400 Easy Clean, and Cuisinart's mesh-free CSJ-300 at a much lower price. Neither publishes a cleanup time in minutes, so that ranking is based on documented design rather than a measured figure.
How long does it take to clean a juicer?
No manufacturer publishes a figure, so we will not invent one. What we can say is that the variable with the biggest effect is when you do it: pulp rinsed immediately comes away easily, pulp left to dry has to be brushed out of the mesh.
Are juicer parts dishwasher safe?
It varies by machine and must be checked per model. Ninja states that the JC151's removable parts are dishwasher safe; Hamilton Beach states the same for the Big Mouth's pusher, cover, strainer, pulp bin and bowl; Breville states it for four parts of the 800CPXL citrus press. Where a brand does not state it, assume hand wash.
Do mesh-free juicers produce worse juice?
They generally let more fine sediment through and leave slightly wetter pulp, because the fine screen is what separates those out. Whether that is worse depends on whether you want body in your juice. No brand publishes a figure for the trade, so we describe it rather than quantify it.
Is a centrifugal juicer easier to clean than a cold press one?
Often, simply because there are fewer parts. The mesh basket is still the slow component, which is true of both mechanisms. A horizontal masticating machine is the most work of the common types.
Do I have to clean a juicer after every use?
Practically yes, and the reason is mechanical rather than hygiene theater: dried pulp in a mesh screen is far harder to remove than wet pulp. Our guide to that question covers what can reasonably wait.
