How Long Does a Juicer Last?

Nobody publishes a service life. What they do publish is a warranty term, and it ranges from one year to fifteen on machines that cost the same.

By Brijon M. · Last reviewed October 5, 2026

No manufacturer in this category publishes a service life, an expected number of cycles, or a years-of-use estimate -- so the honest answer is that nobody can tell you how long a juicer lasts, including us. What brands do publish is a warranty term, and that is the closest thing to a company's own bet on durability. On this site those terms run from one year to fifteen, and the spread does not follow price the way you would expect.

Every published term, in one table

Read this before you read any opinion about build quality. Each figure is the manufacturer's own, taken from the pages listed under Sources.

Twenty-six machines. Note the pattern that is not there: three of the four one-year terms sit on Breville machines costing more than several 15-year ones.

Three things the table tells you

  1. 1.Mechanism predicts the term better than price does. Every 10-to-15-year warranty on this site is on a cold press auger machine. Every centrifugal machine, at any price, is covered for 1 to 3 years. An auger turning at 50 RPM is under far less stress than a basket at 12,000, and the warranty terms are the brands agreeing with that.
  2. 2.Cheap does not mean short. Hamilton Beach gives 3 years under $100 and Mueller and BLACK+DECKER give 2. Breville gives 1 year on machines in the $100-400 bands. If you are paying for a brand reputation, you are not paying for cover.
  3. 3.Read the structure, not the headline. Nama's "15 years" is 15 on the motor and 2 on parts. On an auger machine the motor is rarely first to fail; augers, screens, seals and bowls are. Kuvings USA's 15 years is also shorter at some regional sellers, which is a sourcing issue rather than a brand one -- check the listing you are actually buying from.

The two continuous-running figures that exist

Only two brands publish how long their machine may run without stopping. Tribest states a duty cycle under 30 minutes continuous for the Slowstar. Kuvings states up to 45 minutes continuous for the AUTO10. Everybody else is silent.

For one 16 oz glass a day this is irrelevant -- no machine here is near its limit. It becomes the governing specification if you batch for a household, because exceeding a duty cycle is one of the few things you can do to a juicer that will genuinely shorten its life. Best juicers for families works through batching properly.

What actually wears out, and what you can do about it

Nobody publishes failure data, so this is mechanism reasoning rather than measurement. On an auger machine the parts under constant load are the auger itself, the juicing screen and the seals and gaskets around the bowl. Screens clog and eventually deform; seals perish; augers wear at the tip. All are usually replaceable, and whether the brand sells spares at a sensible price matters more over ten years than the warranty does.

On a centrifugal machine the stressed parts are the motor and the basket's cutting disc, both running at thousands of RPM. The disc dulls, which shows up as declining yield rather than as a failure -- juicer not making much juice covers how to tell. Shorter warranty terms across every centrifugal machine on this site are consistent with that.

  • Wash it the same day. Dried pulp on a mesh screen is the single most common cause of permanent screen damage, because removing it eventually means abrasion. Cleaning a juicer after every use is specific about what rinsing immediately buys you.
  • Respect the duty cycle where one is published. Thirty or forty-five minutes, then stop.
  • Do not force dense produce. Ginger and beets bind augers. Use the reverse function if the machine has one -- AMZCHEF and Nutribullet both state one -- rather than pushing harder.
  • Register the product if registration extends the term. Dash's warranty goes from 1 year to 2 with registration, a free second year most owners never claim.
  • Keep the receipt and the listing. With Kuvings especially, the term depends on where you bought it.

The picks in full

1. Longest cover on parts as well as motor

Hurom H400 Easy Clean

Hurom H400 · $400+ · Our score 8.0/10

The only warranty on this site that reaches fifteen years without splitting the term. Hurom states 15 years on motor and parts for the H400, which matters because parts -- augers, screens, bowls, seals -- are what actually wear on a cold press machine. It states 90 RPM at 150 W, a 45 mm chute and 14.8 lb. Skip it if wheatgrass or very fibrous greens are your main produce: Hurom's own wide-gap Easy Clean design trades fine-strainer extraction for cleaning speed.

Speed
Hurom states 90 RPM, 150 WManufacturer claim: Hurom · checked 2026-10-02

What works

  • No mesh strainer to scrub - the design removes the part people complain about most
  • 15 years on motor AND parts, which is rare
  • Lighter than most verticals at 14.8 lb, so storing it away is realistic

What does not

  • 1.8 in chute means real prep chopping
  • The yield and pulp claims are Hurom's own and unverified by any test we could find
  • 90 RPM is the fast end of slow juicing

Skip this if: You juice a lot of wheatgrass or very fibrous greens - the wide-gap Easy Clean design trades some fine-strainer extraction for speed at the sink.

2. Longest cover held across a whole range

Omega NC900HDC

Omega NC900HDC · $200–400 · Our score 7.9/10

Omega's 15-year limited warranty applies to every machine of theirs we cover -- the NC900HDC, the J8006HDS and the 43 RPM VSJ843 -- which is a more consistent commitment than any other brand makes. The NC900HDC states 80 RPM, 150 W, five adjustable pressure settings and two juicing screens. The counter-argument is cleanup rather than durability: it is over 19 in wide with more parts to wash than any vertical on this site.

What works

  • Five pressure settings give real control over pulp and extraction
  • Handles wheatgrass, which most verticals do poorly
  • 15-year warranty on a design that has been iterated for years

What does not

  • 19.22 in wide, which is a counter-depth problem in small kitchens
  • More parts to wash than any vertical here
  • 18.7 lb, so it lives out on the counter whether you like it or not

Skip this if: Your counter is shallow, or cleanup is what will make you quit. It is over 19 in wide and there are more parts to wash than on any vertical here.

3. Longest warranty for the least money

Omega J8006HDS

Omega J8006HDS · $200–400 · Our score 7.9/10

The same 15-year limited term in the $200-400 band, which is the best durability-per-dollar signal on this site. Omega states 80 RPM, 200 W and a triple-stage auger. If you are buying with a decade in mind rather than a season, this is the machine that makes the premium verticals hard to justify. It is a horizontal, so the chute is narrow and prep is unavoidable -- juice mostly whole apples and you will spend your life chopping.

  • A horizontal auger handles stringy celery and greens well
  • Doubles as a nut-butter, pasta and sorbet extruder

What does not

  • Narrow chute means constant prep chopping
  • Takes significant counter depth
  • Omega publishes no yield or cleanup figure to compare

Skip this if: You juice mostly whole apples and oranges. You will spend your life chopping to fit a narrow horizontal chute.

4. Longest cover under $100

Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Juice Extractor

Hamilton Beach 67601A · Under $100 · Our score 6.7/10

Worth knowing because it breaks the assumption that price buys cover. Hamilton Beach states a 3-year limited warranty on a machine in the under-$100 band -- three times what Breville gives on either of its centrifugal machines at several times the price. It states an 800 W motor and a 3 in Big Mouth feed chute that takes whole apples. It is loud, the pulp is wet, and celery is the wrong job for it.

What works

  • 3-year warranty, which is unusual under $100
  • Every part that touches juice is dishwasher safe, per Hamilton Beach
  • 3 in chute at a budget price

What does not

  • Centrifugal, so it is poor at celery and greens
  • No RPM published
  • Loud, as all high-speed spinning juicers are

Skip this if: Celery juice is the plan. This is the wrong mechanism for it at any price.

A kitchen sink with rinsed juicer parts
The screen is what fails first on most auger machines, and same-day washing is what prevents it.

So how long should you expect?

We are not going to give you a number, because we would be making it up and this site does not do that. What we will say is which figure to use as your planning assumption: the warranty term on the listing you buy from, read for what it covers rather than its headline. If you want a machine you are still using in a decade, that narrows the field to the cold press augers from Omega, Hurom, Kuvings and Tribest -- and Omega's J8006HDS is the cheapest way into it.

If you want to spend less and accept replacing the machine sooner, that is a legitimate plan rather than a failure of nerve. A 3-year Hamilton Beach under $100 replaced twice still costs less than one premium vertical. Are expensive juicers worth it takes that arithmetic further.

Questions people ask

How long does a juicer last?
No manufacturer publishes a service life, so there is no honest number to give. The only durability figure that exists is the warranty term, which runs from 1 year to 15 across the machines on this site. Every 10-to-15-year term here is on a cold press auger machine; every centrifugal machine, at any price, is covered for 1 to 3 years.
Which juicer has the longest warranty?
Hurom's H400 states 15 years on motor and parts, which is the broadest cover here. Omega states a 15-year limited warranty across the NC900HDC, J8006HDS and VSJ843, and Kuvings USA states 15 years on the REVO830 and AUTO10, though regional sellers list shorter terms. Nama's 15 years applies to the motor only; parts are 2 years.
Do cold press juicers last longer than centrifugal ones?
The warranty terms say the manufacturers think so. Every cold press auger machine on this site carries 1 to 15 years with most at 10 or 15; every centrifugal machine carries 1 to 3. That is consistent with the mechanics -- a 50 RPM auger is under far less stress than a basket spinning at 12,000 RPM -- but it is the brands' judgment, not a measurement we made.
How long can a juicer run continuously?
Only two brands say. Tribest states a duty cycle under 30 minutes continuous for the Slowstar and Kuvings states up to 45 minutes for the AUTO10. No other manufacturer in our registry publishes a figure, so we do not assign one. For a single glass a day the question does not arise.
Does registering a juicer extend the warranty?
On one machine here, yes: Dash states 1 year, extended to 2 years with product registration. That is a free second year most owners never claim. No other brand in our registry offers registration-based extension in the terms we could read.
What usually breaks first on a juicer?
Nobody publishes failure data, so this is mechanism reasoning. On an auger machine the parts under constant load are the auger, the juicing screen and the seals -- and a clogged or abraded screen shows up as falling yield before it shows up as a failure. On a centrifugal machine it is the motor and the cutting disc, both running at thousands of RPM.
