The Best Juicers for Turmeric
Mechanically it is ginger's twin. Practically, it will permanently dye your juicer and you should know that first.

Turmeric juices exactly like ginger -- hard, fibrous, liquid bound tightly inside, needs crushing rather than shredding. The difference is not mechanical. It is that turmeric is one of the most aggressive natural dyes in a kitchen, and it will permanently color your juicer, your chopping board, your fingers and your worktop if you let it.

The staining problem, stated plainly
Fresh turmeric stains plastic within minutes of contact. A white auger juicing turmeric daily will be yellow inside a week and will stay that way. This is not a fault, it is not a cleaning failure, and no manufacturer warns you about it because it is not their problem.
What to do about it:
- Rinse immediately, before you drink the juice. This is the only thing that genuinely limits it, and it works better than anything you can do afterwards.
- Accept the auger. On a machine used daily for turmeric, the auger and screen will discolour permanently. It is cosmetic only and it does not affect the juice.
- Protect the surroundings. A plastic board rather than wood, and wipe the worktop straight away. Turmeric on a wooden board is forever.
- Soak in warm water with white vinegar for a deeper clean. It lifts some of it. Check your manual before anything stronger, and do not use abrasives on mesh.
- Consider gloves if you prep a lot of it. Fingers stain too, and it takes days to fade.
The mechanics, briefly
Same as ginger. Turmeric's liquid is held inside dense fiber, so it needs sustained crushing pressure. A cold press auger does that; a centrifugal disc shreds it into fragments and throws them at the basket, producing color, aroma and very little juice.
Feed small pieces -- thumbnail sized -- sandwiched between softer produce, which carries them into the auger. A reverse function matters here for the same reason it does with ginger: hard root is what stalls augers. Juicers for ginger covers the feeding technique in full, and it applies identically.

Prep
No need to peel -- the skin is thin and a scrub is enough. Do cut out any soft spots entirely. Fresh turmeric is more fibrous than it looks and smaller than ginger, so cut generously small.
Turmeric is usually juiced alongside ginger and something sweet, because on its own the flavor is earthy and insistent. That pairing also solves the feeding problem, since the ginger and the sweet produce carry each other through.

What we are not going to tell you
The picks in full
1. Best for turmeric overall
Omega NC900HDC
Omega NC900HDC · $200–400 · Our score 7.9/10
Turmeric is as hard and fibrous as ginger, so the same thing wins: five adjustable end-cap pressure settings per Omega, letting you run high back-pressure on dense root. The horizontal feed handles small pieces directly rather than relying on gravity. 80 RPM, two screens, 15-year warranty. Expect the auger to turn permanently yellow.

- Omega states 80 RPM and 150 W outputManufacturer claim: Omega Juicers · checked 2026-10-02
What works
- Five pressure settings give real control over pulp and extraction
- Handles wheatgrass, which most verticals do poorly
- 15-year warranty on a design that has been iterated for years
What does not
- 19.22 in wide, which is a counter-depth problem in small kitchens
- More parts to wash than any vertical here
- 18.7 lb, so it lives out on the counter whether you like it or not
Skip this if: Your counter is shallow, or cleanup is what will make you quit. It is over 19 in wide and there are more parts to wash than on any vertical here.

2. Best value for turmeric
Omega J8006HDS
Omega J8006HDS · $200–400 · Our score 7.9/10
Same 80 RPM horizontal auger and 15-year warranty at a lower price. If you are going to stain a machine yellow with daily turmeric, there is a reasonable argument for staining the cheaper of two mechanically similar ones. Triple-stage auger per Omega.

What works
- 15-year warranty at a mid-range price
- A horizontal auger handles stringy celery and greens well
- Doubles as a nut-butter, pasta and sorbet extruder
What does not
- Narrow chute means constant prep chopping
- Takes significant counter depth
- Omega publishes no yield or cleanup figure to compare
Skip this if: You juice mostly whole apples and oranges. You will spend your life chopping to fit a narrow horizontal chute.

3. Best budget turmeric juicer
Nutribullet Slow Juicer
Nutribullet NBJ50300 · $100–200 · Our score 7.4/10
Cheap enough that permanent staining is not a financial tragedy, with the reverse function Nutribullet states for when hard root stalls the auger. 65 RPM, 150 W. Feed small pieces slowly -- 150 W is working hard on turmeric.

- Nutribullet states 65 RPM, 150 W, with a reverse functionManufacturer claim: Nutribullet · checked 2026-10-02
What works
- Cold press mechanics at a centrifugal-adjacent price
- Reverse function, which is how you clear a celery jam
- Small footprint at 17 in tall and 6.25 in wide
What does not
- 1-year warranty against 15 years on the premium verticals
- 24 oz catch cup forces breaks on bigger batches
- No published yield, pulp or cleanup figures
Skip this if: You juice for more than one person. A 24 oz container means stopping and emptying mid-session.

4. Most thorough on root
Tribest Greenstar Pro
Tribest GSE-5050 series · $400+ · Our score 7.3/10
Twin gears crush hard fiber more completely than a single auger. Tribest states 110 RPM, 200 W and a 1.5 in chute, which is fine for root you are cutting small anyway. The heaviest cleanup in home juicing, which with turmeric means the most surfaces to stain.

What works
- Twin-gear trituration is the most thorough mechanism in home juicing
- Handles wheatgrass and hard greens that defeat verticals
- 12-year household warranty
What does not
- 27 lb and 18.6 in wide
- 1.5 in chute, so everything gets chopped first
- The most parts, and the most awkward parts, to clean of anything here
