We earn a commission when you buy through our links. Here is exactly how that works and what it does not change.
Auger & Pulp earns money when you buy a juicer through a link on this site. This page explains exactly how that works, in plain English, because you are entitled to know who is paying for the page you are reading.
The short version
How our links work
Every product link on this site goes through our own domain first, at a path beginning `/go/`, before forwarding you to the retailer. That is called link cloaking and it is worth explaining rather than hiding:
- It gives us one place to change the destination. If a product moves, or if a better retailer becomes available, we change one entry rather than editing dozens of pages.
- It gives us one place to hold the tracking tag. That matters for accuracy and it means a page edit can never accidentally break or duplicate it.
- It lets us count clicks. We record that a buy button was clicked and on which page. That tells us which recommendations people find useful.
- It does not change your price. The link forwards you to the normal retailer listing with a tracking parameter attached. Nothing about the offer changes.
Every earning link also carries `rel="sponsored nofollow"`, which is how Google asks publishers to mark commercial links. Citation links -- to manufacturer specification pages and to third-party tests -- are normal follow links, because they are sources rather than commerce.
Who we are affiliated with
| Retailer | Status | What that means |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon | Active affiliate | Every product link on this site goes to Amazon, and we earn a commission on qualifying purchases |
| Omega, Hurom, Kuvings, Nama, Tribest brand stores | Not affiliated | We link to their specification pages as sources. Those are not affiliate links and we earn nothing from them |
| Everybody else | Not affiliated | Any other outbound link on this site is a citation, not commerce |
What commission does NOT affect
- The ordering of our picks. Several of our top recommendations are the cheapest option in their category, which earns us less than the premium alternative would.
- Whether we recommend buying at all. Our guide on whether a juicer is worth it talks some readers out of the purchase entirely, and our juicer vs blender page points out that many people shopping for a juicer already own the machine they actually want.
- What we say about a machine's faults. Every product block on this site carries a "skip this if" paragraph, including for the machines we rank first.
- Which retailer we send you to. We would send you to a better offer if we had one. Today Amazon is the only retailer we are affiliated with, so that is where the links go -- and we say so here rather than implying a wider comparison.
On prices
We do not display prices anywhere on this site. There is no live price data behind these pages, so every buy button reads "Check price on Amazon" and takes you to the current listing. We publish a price band -- under $100, $100-200, $200-400, $400+ -- derived from retailer listings on a stated date.
That is a deliberate choice rather than an oversight. Prices in this category move weekly, and a figure typed into a page is wrong within a month. A stale price is worse than no price because it looks authoritative. How we pick covers the same discipline applied to every other figure.
What we do not do
- No sponsored content. Not at any price, and if that ever changes it will be disclosed on the specific page rather than only in policy.
- No paid placement or paid rankings.
- No gifted-product reviews. We have not been given any juicer by any manufacturer, which is also why this site makes no hands-on testing claims.
- No fabricated reviews or testimonials. We hold no customer rating data of our own and we publish none.
