About Auger & Pulp

An independent juicer comparison site, written by one named person, where every figure is labeled with where it came from.

Auger & Pulp exists because choosing a first juicer is harder than it should be. Every page on the category is organized around specifications that do not predict anything a buyer will feel, and the numbers that do matter -- yield, pulp, cleanup time -- are barely published at all.

Who writes this

Brijon M., owner-operator of MadGrey LLC, which publishes this site. One named person writes and maintains every page here. There is no anonymous panel, no rotating freelance byline and no AI-generated author persona.

He built it to solve his own problem: picking a juicer on the things that actually decide whether you keep using one, rather than on spec sheets. He is accountable for every recommendation on the site, and corrections come straight to him.

The position, stated plainly

We are a research and comparison desk, not a testing lab. We have no test kitchen and no instruments. What we do instead is genuinely useful and nobody else in this category does it: take the scattered manufacturer specifications and published third-party test results, normalize them into the same four criteria on every page, and label every figure with where it came from.

That normalization is the product. While researching this category we read eight juicer publications: exactly one publishes cleanup time as a comparable figure, and none publishes yield comparably across models in consistent units. Three of them write as though they had tested machines without being able to show it.

The four criteria

Every roundup, comparison and review here is built around the same four things, in the same order: yield, pulp, cleanup time and price band. Noise and speed appear where a figure exists. RPM and wattage are reported as manufacturer claims and never used as a stand-in for performance.

Where a figure is not published anywhere, the table reads "Not available". That happens frequently, and showing the gap is more useful than filling it with an estimate. How we pick explains the method in full, including what we deliberately do not do.

Who this site is for

Somebody starting a daily juice habit who needs to choose a first machine, and who would rather know which produce their machine can actually handle than which has the biggest motor. If you want celery juice and you are about to buy a cheap centrifugal machine, this site exists to stop you -- and that is a recommendation that earns us less, not more.

How we are funded

Through the Amazon Associates program. When you buy through a link here we earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We accept no payment, product or placement from manufacturers in exchange for a recommendation or a ranking, and we display no prices -- every buy button goes to the live listing. The affiliate disclosure has the detail.

Contact and corrections

Errors are genuinely welcome -- a site whose whole proposition is sourced figures needs to be correctable. Email contact@augerandpulp.com or use the contact page. Where a factual claim changes, the page carries a dated correction note rather than being quietly edited. That is set out in the editorial policy.
