Nama removes the feeding. Kuvings removes the chopping. Hurom removes the washing. Three premium brands at similar prices, and once you see them that way the choice stops being about which is best and becomes about which part of juicing you most want to stop doing.

How to choose between them

  1. 1.Think about why your last juicer stopped getting used, or why you expect this one might. Cleanup, chopping or standing at the machine -- it is almost always one of those three.
  2. 2.Match the brand to that answer. Hurom for cleanup, Kuvings for chopping, Nama for feeding. The mapping is unusually clean in this category.
  3. 3.Then check the warranty of the actual listing, not the brand page. Hurom's 15 years on parts is the strongest cover here; Nama's parts figure is 2 years; Kuvings' regional sellers list shorter terms than Kuvings USA.
  4. 4.Check the physical fit. These are all tall vertical machines and you need clearance above the chute as well as counter space. Hurom publishes 471 mm of height; the others do not publish dimensions on the pages we checked.
  5. 5.Ignore the yield claims, because there are none to compare. See the note below.

All three cost roughly the same. All three buy you back a different part of the same twelve minutes.

Our verdict, with the caveat

If forced to pick one for a buyer we knew nothing about: Hurom H400, because cleanup is statistically the most common reason juicing habits end, and because 15 years on motor and parts is the strongest warranty commitment of the three.

But the caveat matters more than the verdict. A buyer who hates chopping will be happier with the REVO830, and a daily batch juicer will be happier with a hopper. These are not three grades of the same machine -- they are three different machines at the same price.

For the two-way comparisons in more detail: Nama J2 vs Hurom H400, Kuvings REVO830 vs Nama J2, and Hurom vs Kuvings juicers at brand level.

What works

  • No mesh strainer to scrub - the design removes the part people complain about most
  • 15 years on motor AND parts, which is rare
  • Lighter than most verticals at 14.8 lb, so storing it away is realistic

What does not

  • 1.8 in chute means real prep chopping
  • The yield and pulp claims are Hurom's own and unverified by any test we could find
  • 90 RPM is the fast end of slow juicing

Skip this if: You juice a lot of wheatgrass or very fibrous greens - the wide-gap Easy Clean design trades some fine-strainer extraction for speed at the sink.

Questions people ask

Which is best, Nama, Kuvings or Hurom?
They solve different problems. Nama removes the feeding with a hopper, Kuvings removes the chopping with wide and auto-cut chutes, Hurom removes the washing by eliminating the mesh strainer. Decide which part of juicing you most want to stop doing.
Which of the three has the best warranty?
Hurom, which states 15 years on motor and parts for the H400. Nama states 15 years on the motor but only 2 on parts. Kuvings USA quotes a 15-year limited warranty, with shorter terms at some regional sellers.
Which produces the most juice?
Nobody can say from published data. None of the three publishes a comparable yield figure, and we found no independent test measuring them against each other in consistent units.
Which is the easiest to clean?
The Hurom H400, because there is no mesh strainer -- the slowest part of cleaning a cold press juicer is simply absent rather than improved.
Which handles celery best?
The Kuvings REVO830, thanks to a 1.75 in auto-cut chute that Kuvings specifies for celery and carrots. A controlled narrow feed stops long strands wrapping the auger.
Are these worth the money over a $200 juicer?
They buy convenience and warranty length, not documented extraction. If you juice daily and friction would stop you, that is worth real money. If you juice weekly, a $150-200 machine does the same mechanical job.
